The Rotary Club of Batesville gave the Southeastern Career Center a check for $1000 to the “Rotary Help a Student Fund” to help with any costs to enable students to participate in high quality Career & Technical Programs.
The Southeastern Career Center is the first Career and Technical Education Center that was built in the state of Indiana. In 1964, a group of very forward-thinking educators and business leaders saw a need for a bridge between Industry and Education and saw that it needed to start at the high school level. The Southeastern Career Center strives to provide students with a learning environment that integrates technical skills and academic knowledge, while also promoting work ethics, citizenship, and self-esteem.
If you are interested in finding out more about our club, join us on the first or third Wednesday of each month at the Big 4 Cafe Conference Room at noon in Batesville. Your lunch will be free.
